How to get from the airport to the conference site?

You can take the Athens metro from the airport to the hotel.
At the airport follow the signs to the trains. When you get to the train station buy a ticket from the white machines (select 'Athens-Airport' and then '90 minutes'. It costs 9 euros and you can pay with either cash or card.

Go to the special metro platform and take the train (its the M3 line) to Syntagma (takes around 45 minutes). Here you change to the red (M2) line and then get out at Metaxourghio (3rd stop). When you exit the metro station you should see the Wyndham Grand. The whole trip takes around an hour.

Alternatively you can of course take a taxi. It costs around 45-50 euros (check with the taxi driver what the price is before you get in the taxi). Without traffic, the trip is around 35 minutes, but it can take up to 90 minutes depending on the time of day. Be ware that many of the taxi drivers only take cash!

Is it safe around the venue?

Athens is an exceptionally urban city with high poverty rates. This does unfortunately mean that you should be careful when walking around and watch your things like you would in any large city. If going out in the evening we would advise you not to go alone. should you be worried in any way, then take the metro as the station is right across from the hotel.

Partners and Family Members

Can I bring family members and partners along to the conference?

Yes, family members and partners are most welcome. If they wish to attend the Gala dinner tickets are available at the EAAP information desk.

For details on accommodation, Special prices and booking, please consult the Accommodation page.

Is there a babysitter/ kindergarten available?

EAAP does not provide such facilities, please check with the hotel directly.

Dress Code

What should I wear to the conference?

The dresscode for the EAAP conference is smart casual. For the gala dinner participants usually dress up a little more (think 'cocktail' , this is however in no way mandatory).
